The trip was seamlessly organised.The accomodation was outstanding. The cycles were challenging and very satisfying to complete. The support was very good. The only criticism would be that on a few sections you are required to ride thru tunnels which are pitch black and very disorienting. Better bike lighting would have been helpful.
From the very beginning, the Cycling Holidays Austria team have been amazing. They provided a flexible service that met our specific needs and journey itinerary, which a good number of other providers would not entertain. The speed of reply was excellent and the use of the Trip Plans and Cycle with GPS apps just made our journey so easy. The quality of the rental bikes was excellent and they easily met the demands of the cycle track. Overall, excellent friendly service that we will definitely use again next year as we plan our continued trip along the stunning Danube River. Huge thanks to the team.
This was the best cycling experience we have ever had! The Julian Alps are spectacular, and the people of Slovenia are the kindest people. We went through so many amazing places. I cannot recommend this company enough. Everything was perfect.
The bike tour „Through The Wine Hills of Piedmont“ was excellently organized. The routes led through the unique hilly landscape of the Piedmont with great views. We particularly appreciated the fact that the tracks led through the villages, past all the nice sights, and ended direct in front of the next accommodation. All overnight stays were varied and in great locations, sometimes in nature, sometimes in the city, but always within walking distance of in at least one high-quality restaurant. The well prepared manual with detailled stage description helped us much to get a quick overview of what is important for the individual stage. We will remember the tour for a long time and thank Europe Cycling Holidays for this fantastic experience.
The Sparta self guided tour was the best cycle tour I’ve ever done. Everything from the apps and their ease of use, routes, sights, places of interest, places to eat and accommodation selection was absolutely sensational. A credit to Timotej, Janez and Klemen for their skill in preparing such a journey and incredible experience for us. Already thinking about the next one!!
Our one week tour of Slovenia with these 3 young local guides surpassed all expectations! We travelled from Bled through the Sovenian Alps all the way to to coastal seaside Piran, through villages , on backroads ….it felt like riding through a story book….a delightful surprise around every turn . Our guides took care of our every need: charming accommodations, snacks every day at fantastic off beat locations, mid-ride. We covered 250 km over 5 riding days. The one day we were rained out, they quickly pivoted, and we were able to visit a wonderful historical national museum, which informed us so much in terms of the history in the Soča valley…So the day became not a write off but an educational experience! It was quite special to know the history of the Soča valley as we journeyed through the region, seeing the incredible geographical diversity of this beautiful country on excellent quality e-bikes. Highly recommend! Trip of a lifetime ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
First class company with a well planned route, great accommodation and simply outstanding support in time of trouble. We did a two week ride from Bled to Pula in September 2023. Fair to say we hit a lot of problems courtesy of BA with rescheduled and diverted flights, lost bags, problems with our own bikes, returning rental bikes and more. Daja was simply amazing in helping us sort all of them out and was so accessible at all hours. She even managed to source and buy a forgotten Thru-axle and deliver it personally to our hotel, which is far and above any service i would reasonably expect. Thank you !! Our accommodation was fantastic and far better than expected in all but one location. The route planning in Slovenia was great but due to our decision to bring road bikes from the UK and the nature of the roads in Croatia, our second week was a bit tricky route wise and it would have been good to have had a discussion about this section beforehand. A Gravel bike is far better suited to Croatia although this was our decision to bring road bikes. Transport arrangement and logistics were flawless. Overall, i would change very little and we will definitely be returning to Slovenia. Daja was fantastic and I absolutely recommend Slovenia Cycling Holidays and will be using their services again.
Top Company, Top Tour ! We did the 7 days tour (from Alps to Adriatic), from Bled to Piran in august 2024 ! It was the best tour made in years. Amazing landscapes and nature, great accommodations and food and perfectly organised. Daja did really a perfect job ! she was allways available for questions or suggestions ! I would recommend this tour to everyone.
Had a ball! We rode from Ljubljana to Bled via the mountains - 5 days/4 nights. Daja did a great job communicating with us and ironing out any hitches as soon as they were identified. E-Bikes were great (and v necessary!), accomm was great and the scenery was extraordinary! Being less fit, I wished I had opted for a days’ break at Lake Bohinj. My legs and butt would have appreciated it. Can’t wait to return and do another riding tour with this company!
Wonderful experience - all the information provided for our Berlin to Oslo self guided cycle was brilliant and once on the ground, all ran smoothly with stunning routes for cycling. Unfortunately we couldn’t finish the tour due to an emergency back home. But this is the true test of a good operator - they swung into action, ensuring we didn’t have to worry about anything else but getting home. Thank you. We will definitely be back to complete the trip!
Our entire cycling experience in Slovenia exceeded our expectations. The initial information that we received was clear and precise and helped us make the decision to come and cycle in this beautiful country. It was a very well designed trip- Slovenia is such a beautiful country. The routes were very well planned, including the hotels. Rental bikes were amazing, they accommodated our specific requirements. I would highly recommend and would certainly go back with the same company. One small thing we ran into was not getting a quick response on one of the days where we wanted some options as it was going to rain and we wanted to see if there are alternates to getting to our next location incase we couldn’t ride. We understand it was a last minute request and after hours but an acknowledgement would have been appreciated- specially when you are new to the country and need help. Like I said it was a minor thing, therefore I’m passing along my feedback. Overall they very responsive during planning and suggesting options and providing support outside the cycling trip. Lan is awesome and super helpful- thank you!!

We did the alps to the adriatic bike tour and let me tell you it was fantastic. The bikes were great, the organization of the company was great, the hotels they picked were (mostly) perfect. We honestly had a 10/10 experience. Our bags were in our hotel room every afternoon we arrived!! We had no issues, the app they use to give you information about your ride and help you get from point A to point B were extremely impressive. We never felt lost, or confused, or off track and we had zero cell service for the most part!!

We had a fabulous 14 day trip starting in Bled and ending in Pula. We were 2 couples on a self guided trip. Everything went without one problem. They are beautiful countries and cycling 12 days was a beautiful way to see them. Everybody on staff at Solvenia Cycling holidays were great to work with. You can not go wrong by using them to plan your trip either guided or unguided. 5 stars is not high enough.

I recently completed the Tour of Champions ride which is a 7-day road cycling tour in Slovenia. The entire experience was fantastic. The cycling in Slovenia is amazing. The roads were great and the scenery on each ride was spectacular. Our guide, Blaz, was fantastic. He planned routes throughout Slovenia and some parts of Italy that were amazing. The routes on each day included some amazing climbs which were challenging, to say the least, but after they were done there was an excitement among everyone in the group about completing the climbs. The routes also included some amazing flats where we were cruising along in a nice pace line. Blaz was also a great person. He was supportive of everyone in the group, and he was so encouraging and attentive to everyone. His attention to detail was admirable. The crew was also great in the support van. The hotels, the meals, and especially the bike that I rented was fantastic. It was a top-of-the-line bike which was equivalent to my bike at home. The accommodations were superb and the selection of restaurants for dinner each night were great. Tina, who I dealt with when it came to organizing the trip was great. She was very accessible, and she answered all the questions I had when organizing the trip for my wife and a friend of mine. Tina also helped me organize some kiteboarding in Croatia after the cycling trip which was outside the scope of her business model which was above and beyond. By the way the kiteboarding in Croatia was fantastic! The group was small with a total of 5 riders not including the guide. If anyone is interested in challenging themselves on a road cycling trip, I would strongly recommend this trip.
I did the Slovenian Tour of Champions cycling trip in June 2025. An absolutely fantastic trip! I had never been to Slovenia before and the places we went were absolutely stunning! Our guide, Blaž, and his crew were very thoughtful and encouraging throughout. The climbs were tough — several that were 8-10 mile climbs at average 7-10% grade that took me over an hour (and sometimes over 90 minutes) of continuous climbing. But the landscape made each climb worth it! Tina did a great job on pre-trip communications and chose outstanding boutique hotels and restaurants for each location. This is a smaller operation as compared to a Backroads-type company, but I’m very glad I went with them. We had a very small group of cyclists (4 Americans and 1 Australian), and everyone was super nice and got along well. The routes were well-chosen and we saw many of the top areas you’d want to see on a trip to Slovenia (Lake Bled, Lake Bohinj, Triglav National Forest, etc.). Highly recommended!
My self-guided Bergen Bike Tour was an amazing experience. The route took me through some of Norway's most beautiful landscapes, like the Sognefford and the charming village of Solvorn. Cycling along the Gaularfjellet National Tourist Route with its stunning waterfalls and glaciers was both a challenge and a highlight. The GPS navigation made it easy to follow the route, and I loved having the freedom to explore at my own pace. The team at Bike Tours Norway was incredibly helpful from start to finish. Timotej was especially great-he answered all my questions and made sure everything ran smoothly. The accommodations were cozy, and the luggage transfers made the whole trip stress-free. This tour was the perfect mix of adventure and independence, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to see Norway's stunning nature up close.

Using the Trip app to manage the entire tour by phone was seamless and effortless. Logistics in Greece, like transporting luggage, can be difficult and the team worked well with the local providers to overcome all of these challengers.

We were able to see so much more than tulips however as we learned about Holland's historic and innovative battle with the water. The tour offered superb meals on board our three-mast sailing ship. Our Dutch guides were the best -- amiable and informative. I cannot recommend this company and tour enough.

The team from Europe Cycling Holidays - Timotej and Matic - were great to deal with. The itinerary they planned was outstanding. The tools they provided were great and their service and communications were also great - very responsive when we hit a hurdle and helped us solve the problem.
We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our self-guided Alps to Adriatic tour. We worked with the agency to tailor a trip with some extra days in areas that were of interest to us. They were great to work with. We were super impressed with the package and with the high quality of the tourism infrastructure in Slovenia (well maintained roads, excellent directional and informational signage, lovingly restored historic structures). Pride of place is evident everywhere. We loved how the route took us through the heart of the country on bike paths and back roads and rail trails, through farm fields and vineyards and olive groves. The scenery is truly stunning. Each day was different and full of pleasant surprises. The length of the stages was well chosen to allow time for side trips. The trip planner document we received was full of helpful ideas. The restaurant recommendations were excellent and thoroughly reliable. We had some truly memorable meals. We received up-to-date information on road conditions and on alternative routes that were, as promised, equally stunning. The hotels were all very comfortable and offered a great spread at breakfast to fuel up for the next day of cycling. Communication about details like bike pickup and transport logistics could have been better, but all around, the trip was delightful. We look forward to doing another trip with these folks in the future.

Exploring Tuscany on a self-guided cycling holiday was pure joy. The carefully curated routes took me through vineyards, olive groves, and picturesque towns like Siena and Pienza. I loved being able to stop whenever I wanted to soak in the views or enjoy a cappuccino in a quaint café. The GPS and route notes were spot-on, and the logistics, from luggage transfers to charming accommodations, were seamless. Tuscany’s beauty is best experienced on two wheels, and the freedom to set my own pace made it unforgettable.
Bike and Barge Tours offers the best of Holland's people and scenery from a bike's saddle and a sailing ship's deck. We took the April Tulip Tour which was fantastic. We were able to see so much more than tulips however as we learned about Holland's historic and innovative battle with the water. The tour offered superb meals on board our three-mast sailing ship. Our Dutch guides were the best -- amiable and informative. I cannot recommend this company and tour enough.
The team from Europe Cycling Holidays - Timotej and Matic - were great to deal with. The itinerary they planned was outstanding. The tools they provided were great and their service and communications were also great - very responsive when we hit a hurdle and helped us solve the problem.
The Sparta self guided tour was the best cycle tour I’ve ever done. Everything from the apps and their ease of use, routes, sights, places of interest, places to eat and accommodation selection was absolutely sensational. A credit to Timotej, Janez and Klemen for their skill in preparing such a journey and incredible experience for us. Already thinking about the next one!!
First class company with a well planned route, great accommodation and simply outstanding support in time of trouble. We did a two week ride from Bled to Pula in September 2023. Fair to say we hit a lot of problems courtesy of BA with rescheduled and diverted flights, lost bags, problems with our own bikes, returning rental bikes and more. Daja was simply amazing in helping us sort all of them out and was so accessible at all hours. She even managed to source and buy a forgotten Thru-axle and deliver it personally to our hotel, which is far and above any service i would reasonably expect. Thank you !! Our accommodation was fantastic and far better than expected in all but one location. The route planning in Slovenia was great but due to our decision to bring road bikes from the UK and the nature of the roads in Croatia, our second week was a bit tricky route wise and it would have been good to have had a discussion about this section beforehand. A Gravel bike is far better suited to Croatia although this was our decision to bring road bikes. Transport arrangement and logistics were flawless. Overall, i would change very little and we will definitely be returning to Slovenia. Daja was fantastic and I absolutely recommend Slovenia Cycling Holidays and will be using their services again.
Had a ball! We rode from Ljubljana to Bled via the mountains - 5 days/4 nights. Daja did a great job communicating with us and ironing out any hitches as soon as they were identified. E-Bikes were great (and v necessary!), accomm was great and the scenery was extraordinary! Being less fit, I wished I had opted for a days’ break at Lake Bohinj. My legs and butt would have appreciated it. Can’t wait to return and do another riding tour with this company!
Wonderful experience - all the information provided for our Berlin to Oslo self guided cycle was brilliant and once on the ground, all ran smoothly with stunning routes for cycling. Unfortunately we couldn’t finish the tour due to an emergency back home. But this is the true test of a good operator - they swung into action, ensuring we didn’t have to worry about anything else but getting home. Thank you. We will definitely be back to complete the trip!
It was a very well designed trip- Slovenia is such a beautiful country. The routes were very well planned, including the hotels. Rental bikes were amazing, they accommodated our specific requirements. I would highly recommend and would certainly go back with the same company. One small thing we ran into was not getting a quick response on one of the days where we wanted some options as it was going to rain and we wanted to see if there are alternates to getting to our next location incase we couldn’t ride. We understand it was a last minute request and after hours but an acknowledgement would have been appreciated- specially when you are new to the country and need help. Like I said it was a minor thing, therefore I’m passing along my feedback. Overall they very responsive during planning and suggesting options and providing support outside the cycling trip. Great trip: excellent customer service, great route, excellent hotel stays during the tour. The bike rental company that they use is the best I've ever experienced in Europe. I am even planning to buy the same bike for myself at home that I had on the trip! We had this service also book our stay for after the tour, and that is the only thing I would do differently next time, since the hotel for the several days after the tour was not very good, had mediocre service and not a good location. But for the tour, I would definitely recommend DenmarkBikeTours.

We were thinking that it might be a good idea to provide options to keep on more well-travelled pathways. Our only other suggestion would be to offer a couple of choices where you might want to spend the night. Most of the hotels were good and a couple were great but there were also a coupe we might have changed. As I said, it was an awesome trip; one that I would highly recommend! Beautiful countryside to cycle through!

My self-guided Bergen Bike Tour was an amazing experience. The route took me through some of Norway's most beautiful landscapes, like the Sognefford and the charming village of Solvorn. Cycling along the Gaularfjellet National Tourist Route with its stunning waterfalls and glaciers was both a challenge and a highlight. The GPS navigation made it easy to follow the route, and I loved having the freedom to explore at my own pace. The team at Bike Tours Norway was incredibly helpful from start to finish. Timotej was especially great-he answered all my questions and made sure everything ran smoothly. The accommodations were cozy, and the luggage transfers made the whole trip stress-free. This tour was the perfect mix of adventure and independence, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to see Norway's stunning nature up close.
I completed the self guided Cycladic and Sparta tours. The itinerary put together included breathtaking bike routes, excellent hotel stops, top recommendations for places to visit and eat. Using the Trip app to manage the entire tour by phone was seamless and effortless. Logistics in Greece, like transporting luggage, can be difficult and the team worked well with the local providers to overcome all of these challengers.

We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our self-guided Alps to Adriatic tour. We worked with the agency to tailor a trip with some extra days in areas that were of interest to us. They were great to work with. We were super impressed with the package and with the high quality of the tourism infrastructure in Slovenia (well maintained roads, excellent directional and informational signage, lovingly restored historic structures). Pride of place is evident everywhere. We loved how the route took us through the heart of the country on bike paths and back roads and rail trails, through farm fields and vineyards and olive groves. The scenery is truly stunning. Each day was different and full of pleasant surprises. The length of the stages was well chosen to allow time for side trips. The trip planner document we received was full of helpful ideas. The restaurant recommendations were excellent and thoroughly reliable. We had some truly memorable meals. We received up-to-date information on road conditions and on alternative routes that were, as promised, equally stunning. The hotels were all very comfortable and offered a great spread at breakfast to fuel up for the next day of cycling. Communication about details like bike pickup and transport logistics could have been better, but all around, the trip was delightful. We look forward to doing another trip with these folks in the future.
